Adult Autism Assessment

When I began speaking at length to HSPs on my website, I had an influx of clients asking me for Autism assessment & expressing a lack of assessment services for adults.

I didn’t want to abandon my clients to online quizzes & continued confusion.

I have developed my own approach combining clinical assessments (updating any outdated wording) & an interview format that leaves less room for ambiguity.

    This may be for you if you are resonating with online forums related to undiagnosed Adult Autism & you have a history of social, sensory & cognitive differences.

    Do you find yourself constantly trying to compensate or hide these differences & are starting to crave a congruent explanation?

    We are often "masked" to ourselves when we were not identified as children, which can be very painful.

    For some, an assessment offers longed-for answers...you get to decide what you do with those answers.

  • What to expect:

    Step 1: Reach out to schedule an initial 50-minute session. I will send you a small amount of e-paperwork.

    Step 2: In our initial session, if it's feeling like a good fit, I will present options for what you'd like to assess & we will begin assessment for at least three 75-minute sessions (more can be scheduled, if needed).

    Step 3: I will present the assessment findings & offer resources & next steps.

    Fee: $250 per 75-minute Session

  • I do not orient toward diagnosing, but technically, yes, it is diagnosis.

    The reason I don't like that terminology is because I do not resonate with the term "disorder," so I'd rather not "diagnose" some one with a "disorder."

    That's not how I view Autism & ADHD, in particular. They are both neurological, developmental differences. AND they also present very differently in each person, even if some similarities are there.

    OCD & what is referred to as Borderline Personality “disorder,” in my view, are both anxiety dynamics that are trauma responses. I don’t view these are “incurable” or life-long.

  • I can write you a letter for accommodations, if desired for a small fee.

    If this is something you know you want, check in-advance that whomever you are providing the letter does not require a Physician letter (I am an LPC, a Master's Level Psychotherapist).

  • No, I do not submit to insurance. It will be up to you if you want to share assessment results with your medical providers.

  • Initial 45-minute Session is $165

    Assessment Fee: $250 per 75-minute Session (3 session minimum)
